Spring is in the air and with that, the first signs of Festival season - kicking off  with Coachella Music and Arts Festival this weekend. This year, we’re thrilled to be the Official Digital Music Partner for the Festival and we’ll be turning up the volume in Indio!

We’ll be on the ground with a Spotify tent as well as a unique interactive website to to deepen your Coachella experience both during the festival weekend and long after the stage lights have turned off.

Our Spotify tent, located in the Terrace section between the Sahara Tent and the Mojave Tent, will be the perfect oasis for festival goers.  Inside the Spotify Social tent, you can escape the sun with air conditioning, get off your feet and recharge in relaxation pods, chill with friends, charge up your devices, and keep listening to all of the great music.  You can also rock out in Spotify listening stations hooked up with Coachella playlists featuring Red Bull artists, stop by the Mosaic Photobooth that transforms photos into compositions of album covers from Coachella artists, and check out special artwork commissioned by San Francisco-based artist, Apex. Our tent will also host an RFID check-in which will allow you to capture your time at the festival and relive it after each day with #WeWereThere.

This new digital extension offers Coachella-goers an interactive festival experience. Here’s how #WeWereThere works:

  • Connect: Sync your Coachella RFID wristband to track your every step and dance move
  • Collect: Check-in all over the Coachella grounds – concert stages, campgrounds, VIP section, art installations – to collect custom Coachella playlists and Follow your favorite acts on the fly in the #WeWereThere site
  • Share: At the end of the festival, #WeWereThere creates an all-encompassing review of your Coachella experience – distance traveled in footsteps, number of artists seen, playlists collected, and more – to relive the weekend and share your digital snapshot, “My Coachella Story”

As Official Music Partner, we are also integrated into the Coachooser experience on the Coachella website.  As guests register and choose their favorite artists, they are able to create a custom playlist on Spotify – also open to music fans unable to make it to Indio.

Our tent and #WeWereThere will be live for both Weekend One, April 11-13 and Weekend Two, April 18-20 at Coachella.
